Rockin' Chili Beans

Grandma's Rockin' Chili Beans


Ingredients:
 

1/2 lb of ground beef
2  30oz cans of chili beans
1  28oz can of crushed tomato
1  14.0z can of stewed tomatoes
1 cup of chopped white onions
2 tbsp. of chili powder
1/2 tsp. of cumin
2 cloves of grated garlic
10 drops of Tobasco sauce

Garnish: chopped white onions,  chopped cilantro and lime wedges.




Instructions:

In a medium stock pot, brown the ground meat for 5-7 minutes.  Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic and onion.  Cook these ingredients for 3-4 minutes.  Add the rest of the ingredients to the stock pot and cook over medium heat for 15-18 minutes.  Serve and garnish with chopped white onions, cilantro and a lime wedge if desired. 

Tomato Bisque

Tomato Bisque


This recipe in incredibly easy to make.  Feel free to add chicken, seafood such as shrimp or lobster.


Ingredients:

2 cups of Alfredo sauce
1  5oz can of tomato sauce
1  14.5oz can of stewed tomatoes 
1 cup of water
1/2 tsp. of dried oregano
6 basil leaves, finely chopped
1 clove of grated garlic
1/2 teaspoon of chopped capers
5 drops of Tobasco sauce


Instructions: 

In a medium sauce pan, add all the ingredients.  Cook over a medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
