Salsa Verde (Green Tomatillo Salsa)

Salsa Verde ( Green Tomatillo Salsa)

Salsa verde is one of my favorite salsas and this is one recipe that I have perfected through time.  



Ingredients:  (What you need to have to make the recipe with)

1 lb of green tomatillos
1 Serrano chili
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup of freshly chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp of dried oregano
1 cup of water


Follow These Directions: (How you will make the recipe)

In a large pot, add the green tomatillos and the Serrano chili. Boil until the tomatillos are tender. This usually occurs when you see the skin of the tomatillos start to split, about 10 - 12 minutes).

In a blender, add the tomatillos, the Serrano chili, and the rest of the ingredients for the salsa.  Blind the mixture until it is smooth. 

Transfer to a medium serving bowl and cool .  Enjoy with your favorite chips, on meat or on tacos.
