Basil and Garlic Butternut Squash Soup

                     Basil and Garlic Butternut Squash Soup


Here is a autumn comfort food that warms you up from the inside! Lightly flavored with basil and garlic, this soup is simply delicious!


Ingredients:

1 large butternut squash: peeled, cut into small 1 inch pieces
3 cups cooking liquid from the squash
1 cup of whole milk
1 teaspoon of chicken buillion
6 basil leaves
1 clove of garlic, grated


Instructions:

In a large pot, add the squash.  Add water until it covers the squash pieces.  Boil on high heat until tender about 15 minutes and drain well.

In a blender, add the squash,  the rest of the ingredients. Blend until the mixture is smooth.   Serve and enjoy!
