Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Cheddar Cheese Sauce

The cheddar cheese sauce is made starts with a white sauce.  As long as you know how to make the white sauce, you can create this simple cheddar cheese sauce.

2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of butter 
1 1/2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
2 cups of milk 
a pinch of salt

In a medium saucepan, add the flour and butter. Cook and stir until the mixture is tan in color.  Add the milk, the cheese, and the salt.  Bring the mixture to a boil and allow it to thicken.  Take the sauce pan off the heat when the sauce is of the desired thickness.
