The most used of all aromatic essential oils, minta or mentha has calming effects as well as, stimulant properties.  Mint, when it is used as an aroma, helps to focus the mind, stimulates alertness, and helps relieve depression.  It also relieves headaches and helps with nasal congestion.  

The best way to receive the medicinal effects of mint is to use the essential oil.  You can add 1-2 drops of mint essential oil in a warm bath bath or add it to a bowl of hot water.  The water will evaporate and perfume the air with the scent of mint.  The mint will immediately act on the olfactory glands and sinuses within the nose.  Another effective way to use mint is within massage oil.  The mint, together with the massage,  will help to calm and relieve the bosy of anxiety and muscle tension.
