There nothing like having your own garden and producing an abundant amount of herbs.  But what do you do if you have extra you don't want to go to waste?  Dehydrate it!  You can dry foods outdoors or with an electric dehydrater.  

Dehydrating food is a great way to preserve food for long periods of time.  You can dehydrate herbs, fruits, vegetables and meats.  This strategy is valuable for the winter months when the growing season is over.  Its always a good idea to have dried herbs for cooking when fresh herbs are not available.
