Getting Your Herbs to Last Longer...

Getting Your Herbs to Last Longer...

We consistently go to the supermarket and buy herbs only to have them last about 3-4 days in the refrigerator.  I recently bought a bunch of dill for $0.79 each.  If I'm lucky,  I will able to use half of it.  What do you do with the other half so it doesn't go to waste? The simple answer to this question is to dry out or dehydrate the dill.  This simple food preservation strategy can save you money in the long run since these herbs can be used again in the future.  They are also convenient to have around when fresh herbs are not available.
